Nothing is more valuable than your time - and we value it just as much. Spending time with our girls - mentoring, inspiring, teaching, - is the greatest gift you can give.
Every donation allows us to help more and more girls in Imizamo Yethu Township and expanding our offerings to our girls. Any consideration is very much appreciated.
Sistahood has six board members who have given their time on a voluntary basis and are responsible for decision-making and provide direction for the club. On our board we have a trained psychologist that assists with specialised cases. Board members meet two times a month to plan and decide about Sisterhood. All board members are involved on the day to day running of the club due to lack of funding to pay for facilitator.
The strategy is employ at least two facilitators who will work for the club on a full time basis since board members are all employed and struggle to keep their commitment to the club on a full-time basis. These facilitators will not only facilitate the activities of the club, but will also actively look for ways of sustaining the organisation and opportunities of increasing impact. The club has a database of young professionals who are keen to help the club grow, but require financial assistance (stipend) to cover costs they will incur. Sistahood aims to implement fundraising ideas to contribute towards self-sustainability.
